Abstract
The Life Sciences Library and the George T. Harrell Library (College of Medicine) of the Pennsylvania State University embarked on a cooperative project, with the goal of reducing the number of serials subscriptions (and thus, cost) at each site, while maintaining ready access to all titles previously held for users at both locations. The Ariel software for document transmission over the Internet was selected to be used for this pilot project. The planning and implementation processes are described in this article.
