Abstract
The first nursing index on floppy disk became available with the 1985 edition of NurseSearchTM. From the producers of the Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), this microcomputer index covers sixty of the most important English-language nursing journals. Designed for the end user, the software is menu-driven, requires little typing and has numerous on-screen helps. A number of powerful search techniques, such as an "explode-like" command, are also available for the more sophisticated user. Cost is a key feature; for a one-time fee, an unlimited number of searches can be run.
