Abstract
This paper proposes a system for establishing and maintaining a technical reports authority file to aid in the processing of reports in a sci/tech library. Acronyms are established whenever possible; and an authority card is created for each corporate source indicating the formats for report series issued by that source, see-references, and history (where applicable). The paper contains examples of catalog cards, authority file cards and references which would be prepared using this system. An annotated bibliography of sources which should be part of the indexer's library is provided.
