Abstract
Following a description of the Aluminum Association's new library/information center, the author discusses problems faced in cataloging the collection. The decision to use an in-house data management system, Warner-Eddison's INMAGIC, for an online catalog and for other resource files is described. The author details the organization's requirements, the research phase, justification to management and steps in initial implementation of the automated cataloging system.
