Provision of Language Accessibility to Polyglot Dictionaries and Glossaries of Foreign Terms in a Science Reference Collection

Abstract

This paper describes a science reference collection project conducted by a library school intern visiting from a foreign institution at San Diego State University in 1990. With some simple adaptations of the public online catalog, provision was made for access to all specific languages within polyglot sci-tech dictionaries - in addition to subject coverage. The project enhanced the searching of foreign language dictionaries in the science reference collection.
