The Role of Mobile Patient Library Services in Providing Palliative Care to People Living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda

Abstract

The Mildmay Centre Kampala offers training and palliative care to patients living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda. Within the clinic, there is an information resource centre which serves patients, carers, staff, participants, general public, other statutory and voluntary organisations. The leadership and management principles such as principles for transformation of people, for transformation of change, results driven principles, business acumen principles and principles for establishing coalitions/communication are highlighted in the success of providing palliative care to people living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda using the new Mobile Patient Library Services project.
