ABSTRACT

At Texas A&M University Libraries, public services personnel use a Web-based form for two purposes: (1) to report errors in the online catalog; and (2) to enhance access to electronic resources through the addition of subject terms and alternative titles. This service has allowed public and technical services staff to work together to improve access to resources through the online catalog and the libraries' Web site. This paper provides examples of requests received between May 2003 and January 2004, and describes how this service has fostered greater communication between public and technical services personnel.
