SUMMARY
In addition to furthering our knowledge and filling out résumés, academic conferences play an important role in the social lives of gay men and lesbians, providing many with unique opportunity to meet fellow queers in our fields. In a satirical spoof of the presumed bed-swapping that transpires at such meetings, “Addressee Unknown” is the correspondence-letters both mailed and those, more wisely, never posted-of Estelle, a collector of lesbian academics.
