SUMMARY
In the context of a Bulletin Board associated with a large, renowned lesbian cultural event, the authors discuss the community formed through participation in a particular thread of the Politics Forum of the Bulletin Board. The boundaries of the community are defined by the ‘proprietress’ of Lesquire's Pub. There is a means of dealing with conflict; there are traditions and ongoing practices. The community is visible to all in text, available to anyone who wishes to read it. There is a ‘real life’ community as well, each year at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival.
