SUMMARY
Although dual-career hires are a common recruitment tool in academe, they remain a challenge for institutions hiring same-sex couples. This narrative tells the story of one such couple—it focuses on our professional and personal journey and the collective social activism that challenged one university to begin to address issues that face LGBT faculty throughout higher education.
