Academic Publishing in Georgia

ABSTRACT

The article discusses developments in scholarly and scientific publishing in the Republic of Georgia since the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991. State-sector publishing has declined, but there is now a fair amount of NGO publishing. Some publications appear only online. The author discusses some important online publications, databases, and other sites. Many are in English; some are in Georgian and/or Russian. Among them is a document delivery service.
