Clinical Medical Librarians

Extending Library Resources to the Clinical Setting

Abstract

This paper summarizes the development of the role of clinical medical librarianship, describes the Clinical Medical Librarian (CML) Program at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, and discusses the potential evolution of this CML program in context of the new role of informationist. Formative and summative evaluation strategies are discussed.
