Abstract
The Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts is the site of a survey course on medical informatics. Medical librarians have been attending this course with other health professionals for ten years. The purpose of this paper is to offer a description of the setting and synopsis of salient points from a few of the lectures. Hopefully, remarks made in this paper will encourage librarians to apply for the National Library of Medicine grant, which supports the course.
