Justification for the Library

Pages 63-76 | Published online: 11 Oct 2008

ABSTRACT

Managing an information centre or library is managing a business. Adjusting to external factors, revisiting the marketing plan and altering services and product offerings are all part of running a business, even when that business operates within a larger business and the customers are internal. This paper will address value factors that are important to the organisation and show how the Library Service is aligned with the company's vision and mission, thus adding value to the organisation.
