Pages 35-45 | Received 15 Dec 2002, Accepted 05 Apr 2003, Published online: 08 Sep 2008

Abstract

The traditional purposes of morning report have been expanded as a result of the increasing use of evidence-based medicine principles in patient care decision-making. Librarians throughout the country have taken active roles in morning report by doing real time searching and teaching evidence-based medicine skills. This article explores some examples of this trend and suggests ways librarians can develop an active role in their own institutions.
