Abstract
Many hospitals are seeking Magnet Hospital status. These hospitals seem to better retain staff and demonstrate that they provide a higher quality of care than other hospitals. They also have shorter lengths of stay and better patient outcomes than other institutions. This article discusses the Magnet Hospital designation and how the library can support this initiative.
