ABSTRACT
“Everyone knows” that hospital libraries are good recruitment and retention tools but there is no research to support that claim. Therefore, the Research Committee of the Michigan Health Sciences Libraries Association decided to provide that research by surveying physicians about the role of the hospital library in this important area. This article relates how they went about surveying physicians and the conclusions that were reached.
