Creating Search-Engine-Friendly Web Pages

Pages 65-71 | Published online: 08 Sep 2008

ABSTRACT

Search engines play a critical role in helping health information seekers find online resources. Librarians can have a significant impact on the quality of information consumers find via search engines through the creation of online resources that are search-engine-friendly. By understanding the way search engines function and by following guidelines for web development, librarians can make credible health information easier for consumers to find when they use search engines.
