Abstract
Library outreach to clinical nurses has historically been a challenge. The Biomedical Library at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute had actively marketed library services to the nursing staff, but data revealed nurses were one of the lowest patron user groups. Participation by the Medical Librarian in a nursing research committee provided the means to reach nurses and promote library resources and services. The purpose of this study was to document library/nursing research collaboration and to assess impact on library use by the nurses. Nurses' library use in 2003 was compared with library use data in 2004 and against all other library groups for traditional activities. In all areas, nurses' use of the library increased.
