Abstract

With expertise from new leaders who placed emphasis on the value of evidence-based practice (EBP), an Arizona State University (ASU) nursing team sought the help of librarians to assist in a systematic review. This article describes challenges the team faced and the strategies the librarians developed to support EBP practitioners in the process of conducting a review. In an effort to address the team's need for understanding the concepts of EBP, librarians created an online teaching model to serve as a tool for novice and expert searchers. The model is designed to instruct and support hospital and academic librarians and EBP students and practitioners in the online retrieval of best evidence and management of records during the systematic review process.
