Abstract
Meeting the information needs of rural health workers has been a subject that has been discussed in various fora and a subject frequently written on. Its importance in the health care process has also been discussed at length. This paper looks at health information strategies that should be implemented at the district level of the health care system. It argues that the health information strategies when comprehensively implemented can help in meeting the health information needs of health workers. These strategies should take cognisance of the local existing conditions in order to be meaningful and successful.
