Abstract
Recent headlines reflect the troubling role pharmaceutical and medical device companies play in the creation and distribution of medical information to both healthcare providers and patients. Librarians are uniquely situated to analyze and criticize pharmaceutical literature. The author points out some situations and ideas librarians should be prepared to deal with when presenting pharmaceutical literature to both physicians and consumers.
