Abstract
A workshop of twenty-seven lesbian women was developed with the overall goal of teaching individuals how to analyze the structure of their social networks and to develop personal plans to modify that structure to enhanceteh availability of social support. According to the evaluations, the workshop intervention was successful. Support groups and group activities were also initiated as a result of the intervention. Their creation modified the structure of the city's lesbian social system making social support more accessible. As such, they are construed as a vehicle for the indicidual lesbian to epand or modify her personal soical network.
