Abstract
A sample of 144 adolescents in inpatient chemical dependency treatment completed questionnaires designed to determine pre and post environmental, psychological, and problem severity influences on the outcome of treatment. Results of regression analyses indicate that the posttreatment psychosocial environment measures and pretreatment problem severity indicators consistently made significant contributions to short term treatment outcome.
