Abstract

The Drug Misuse Scale and the Substance Abuse Proclivity Scale, both of the MMPI, were compared using the adolescent sample used to develop the DMS. It was found that the SAP scale could not discriminate between different levels of drug use in this non‐treatment sample. It is concluded that the DMS may be superior at predicting proclivity to drug abuse.
