Pages 55-68 | Published online: 23 Oct 2008

Abstract

A cross cultural curative factor is a treatment process which has been identified as helpful and useful regardless of its cultural context. Such curative factors are of special use to social workers who practice with diverse client groups. In this article, the authors describe, review and outline the western and "folk" psychotherapy use of eight cross cultural curative factors.
