Ethnic Minority Social Work Mental Helath Training Programs:

An Assessment of the Experience

Abstract

This article reports on the critical mental health issues and concerns of ethnic minority groups of color. Accomplishments are summarized from National Institute of Mental Health ethnic minority social work clinical training programs. Goals and proposals are suggested for addressing ethnic minority mental health needs. Personnel and curriculum recommendations are offered to enhance the effectiveness of social work mental health interventions.
