Abstract
For effective planning with patients, especially the evasive, guarded or non-verbal individual, psychological testing can provide timesaving evaluative data. The inkblot technique is an invaluable contribution, either used alone or in a test battery. I use the Holtzman Inkblot Technique (HIT), a reliable and valid test instrument. HIT test results of a guarded male patient are examined. The use of the test information with the patient and in planning therapeutic goals is discussed.
