Small Town Practice of Psychotherapy:

Ethical and Personal Dilemmas

Abstract

This article renews some ethical and personal dilemmas faced by professional psychologists practicing in small towns. Special concerns regarding staff and how they are different from those in larger communities are addressed along with the ethical problems they pose. A discussion of personal dilemmas posed by being a parent and a resident in the community is included and relate to the dual relationship provision of the Ethical Principles of Psychologists.
