Abstract
Depression in adolescents and suicidal threats and acts have become an increasing focus in professional publications. This has also become a concern by practitioners. This paper discusses adolescents in a residential treatment center who have manifested such symptoms and reactions and reviews techniques and program efforts utilized in such crises. Literature on significant factors leading to stress in adolescents is also reviewed.
