Abstract

A dialogue between two psychotherapists, highlighting the notion of creativity as a force in all psychotherapeutic encounters. Emphasis is placed on "approach" and "leap" in contrast to therapeutic technique. Creativity is further seen in patients as "courage," "remaining spontaneous," "transcending what others think." Psychotherapy is considered as the process of helping to awaken one's responses as a way of moving beyond the repetition of reactive transference.
