Summary

This paper examines issues related to the implementation of a social work curriculum for the teaching of information technology as a tool for human services practice. It is based on the experience of the School of Social Work at the University of Denver. The discussion focuses on issues related to fiscal resource development, capacity building to develop faculty expertise, and faculty resistance. It culminates in the formulation of guiding principles for the implementation of a social work curriculum on information technology.
