Augmented Split Plot Experiment Design

Abstract

A new class of augmented experiment designs is introduced. This is a follow-up on the 2005 paper by the author on augmented split block experiment designs. The designs are presented to expand the possibilities for experimenters for use in screening untested or partially screened material. These designs allow testing of new treatments over other factors, such as tillage, weed control, fertilizer, density, etc. This is desirable in the later stages of screening new genotypes or other treatments.
