Abstract

"Beat the Buzzer" is a simple procedure for regulating elementary school age children's morning schedule and thereby reducing tension and frustration for all concerned. A buzzer-timer is set each morning for a certain time by which the habitually late child must have completed a posted list of duties. The contingent privilege of night-time television viewing can be used as reinforcement.
