Abstract
This paper describes a method whereby a better fit can be created between a family's semantics of therapy and a therapist's politics of therapy. Through the use of an ethnographic interview a therapist can obtain information about a family's expectations of therapy during the therapy process. This project deviates from traditional feedback models (i.e., post therapy interviews and surveys) in that the therapist can use the obtained information with the same family who generated the information, not another family after the fact.
