Goal Planning in Stroke Rehabilitation: Evidence

Pages 37-42 | Published online: 02 Feb 2015

Abstract

The evidence relating to goal planning in health activities is slim, and there is none specific to stroke. However, some evidence from various sources exists, and it strongly supports the development and use of a patient-centered goal-planning approach to rehabilitation. Outcome is better if goals are challenging, goal setting involves the patient, and goals are set at various levels.
