Goal Planning in Stroke Rehabilitation: How?

Abstract

This article describes the method of goal planning undertaken at Rivermead Rehabilitation Centre, Oxford, England. It shows the documentation used and discusses some of the more important practical considerations. A structured interview is used to obtain the patient’s wishes and expectations. The goals are set at a multiprofessional meeting using a set agenda and documentation to structure its format.
