P. K. Kuroda
Paul K. Kuroda (BS, PhD, University of Tokyo, 1939, 1944) was appointed assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Tokyo in 1944. He came to the U.S. in 1949 and spent three years at the University of Minnesota as a research fellow. He was then appointed assistant professor of chemistry at the University of Arkansas in 1952, promoted to associate professor in 1955 and to professor in 1961. He served as an associate chemist at Argonne National Laboratory during the year 1957-1958. He has been active in research in the fields of nuclear and geochemistry for many years. He is noted for his theory on the existence of natural reactors (1956) and his research on the occurrence of plutonium in the early history of the solar system. He has a list of approximately 260 publications.
