ABSTRACT
The emergence and continued success of British stand-up comics such as Susan Calman, Shappi Khorsandi, Josie Long and Sarah Millican along with comics from the United States such a Zooey Deschenal and Sarah Silverman, means that there has probably been no better time for women stand-up performers and comedy writers. In the United Kingdom, Catie Wilkins is one of a number of upcoming British female stand-ups to break-through to the mainstream comedy circuit.
