Abstract
In her paper, Rebecca Cannon provides an overview of videogame art, concentrating primarily on the subgenre of artistic computer game modification. Her paper draws upon numerous examples to give some indication of the diversity of the work in this field — both in terms of the techniques that they use and the themes that they explore. She describes many of the well-known and key works in this field, as well as some less obvious examples, and suggests ways in which they could be grouped and classified.
