A colour-[de]coding of RyyA. Bread©'s METHODOLOGICAL EMBODIMENTS

Pages 36-43 | Published online: 03 Jan 2014

Abstract

Colour is only one element in an elaborate methodological strategy that is deployed within my interdisciplinary praxis. Nonetheless, a colour-coding schema has emerged as an increasingly significant performative structural function within the formation of METHODOLOGICAL EMBODIMENTS. For this reason, it has been signalled out for the purposes of this text:

1.

To provide a specific example of how an interplay between multiple ‘visual-material’ and ‘linguistic’ practices are mediated through the embodied subjectivity of the practising scholar, in this case myself: whom I call RyyA. Bread©.

2.

To offer an abbreviated insight into the kinds of performative ‘play’ at work within my research and/of (identity) textual production.
