Interrogating boundaries/respecting differences? The role of theatre within Performance Studies

Abstract

This article exposes the tendency of a ‘theatre/drama’ model to dominate and distort the evolution of a distinctive Performance Studies programme. In particular, it notes the absence of music from many of the standard texts on performance.
