Anti-inflammatory 1-aroyl-4-(m-aminomethylphenyl)piperidine derivatives

Abstract

A series of 1-aroyl-4-(m-aminomethylphenyl)piperidine derivatives and their 1-heteroaroyl analogues are claimed. These amines are low molecular weight inhibitors of tryptase, some of which have reasonable potency. If combined with good pharmacokinetic properties this class of compounds may prove to be therapeutically useful in the treatment of asthma or allergic rhinitis.
