Novelty: Antiretroviral 2-amino-1,4-benzodiazepines are claimed for the treatment of HIV infections.

Biology: The in vitro activity of two compounds is disclosed. ID50 values for reducing the number of HIV infected cells are in the range of 0.5–1 μM. Data from anti-TAT assays are also detailed.
