Synthetic polypeptides derived from the HIV envelope glycoprotein

Abstract

A number of synthetic polypeptides are described which comprise at least one antigenic property of the envelope protein of a strain of HIV. The synthetic polypeptides or antibodies raised against them may be used therapeutically to prevent or limit the spread of HIV.
