Abstract
This patent from the Takeda Group claims an extensive range of compounds that are antagonistic to gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH). These compounds act selectively on the receptors controlling the action of the hypothalamic hormone and this regulates, in turn, the secretion of the anterior pituitary hormones. The compounds covered by the invention are bicyclic thiophene derivatives.
