American Home Products Corp.: analysis of patenting 1995 - 1998

Abstract

The patenting activity of the AHP group of companies is surveyed over a 4-year period. The publications are analysed on the basis of their subject matter, key inventors and country coverage. Changes in the patenting policy are noted, particularly the enhanced role of the Lederle (Japan) part of the group. The technology fields occupied by the top rank inventors are described in more detail, together with comments on the geographical scope of patenting.
