Abstract

Uses for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe to custom-design pipe hangers, clamps, and braces commonly used in aquaculture facilities are described. Use of PVC pipe reduces costs and provides flexible, safe, and extremely strong custom-built hardware. It also reduces metal rust and corrosion in the vicinity of wet areas commonly found in fish culture facilities. Custom-built PVC hardware is esthetically pleasing and virtually eliminates metal edges that sometimes cause injuries. Fabrication of PVC hardware requires no special tools or equipment.
