Abstract

Technical improvements in MRI acquisition have enabled imaging of the fetus with both high resolution and virtually no fetal motion artifact. Fetal MRI is useful for resolving equivocal ultrasonography results. MRI findings may assist in prenatal counseling and in assessing the need for intervention before, during and after delivery. In this review, we present the current uses and potential future applications of fetal MRI.
