Abstract
The Annual Meeting of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology was held on 24–28 August 2008, on Chicago’s Navy Pier (IL, USA). The meeting, the largest of its type in the world, included over 1000 participants from more than 70 different countries, illustrating the global relevance of ultrasound. This is reflected in the delegates who included researchers, obstetricians, gynecologists, radiologists, pediatricians, sonographers, nurses and all other professionals who perform obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations.
